Global Giving: our commitment to our communities

We’re running our festive Global Giving campaign – this lets colleagues nominate causes close to their hearts to receive a donation at a time when charities need support the most.

We set up the Global Giving programme so our people can make a real difference in their communities.

The programme’s flexibility means colleagues have found innovative and collaborative ways to support worthy causes.

Last year, Ciprian Deaconu, a Fund Accountant in our Jersey office, nominated St Peter’s School’s new playground project.

Sharing his passion for the project, Ciprian then inspired his colleagues to use their nomination to fund the project too, raising £3,000 through Saltgate’s Global Giving scheme.

Ciprian said at the time: “We all know how important it is for children to spend time outside playing in a safe and fun environment – I can’t wait to see the new playground and the difference it makes to the children.”

Following their fundraising, St Peter’s School launched a playground design competition to encourage their pupils to get involved with the project in a creative way.

We were incredibly proud to see our team come together and use their Global Giving nominations to make a difference in Jersey’s community.
