An update from our 2021 summer interns

Our bright group of summer interns have been with us for three weeks now.

They’ve immersed themselves into Saltgate life, working with our dedicated teams to deliver the best client service while gaining valuable experience in our fund accounting and administration teams.

Alongside their day-to-day responsibilities, the interns have been working in groups and sharing ideas on how to streamline, improve, or add more value to different areas of the business – from social media, to ESG, to the Jersey office layout.

Ellie Binet joined as a new intern on this year’s programme, and has settled in well:

“I’m in the payments team and I’m really enjoying what I’m working on at the moment. I’m feeling very welcome at Saltgate and everyone has been really kind, so I’ve settled in well.

In my group project I’m working with two other interns focusing on ESG at Saltgate – we’re putting forward a proposal on ways to improve the processes and what we think people want to see from Saltgate in this area.”

Jack Lister has returned to the programme as an alumni intern, he shared:

“I’ve really enjoyed being involved with the summer programme again this year. I’ve relished the opportunity to be involved with an inclusive team and been given the responsibility of contributing towards projects.

This positive experience has made me feel like a valued member of the Saltgate community.”

We’re so pleased and impressed with the commitment and hard work shown by all the interns. We’re excited to see them progress even further throughout the programme in the coming weeks.
