Celebrating National Volunteers Week, and saying thank you to our Saltgate volunteers

Today marks the beginning of National Volunteers Week, an annual celebration of those who give up their time to volunteer and make a difference.
Our Jersey colleague Emma Stewart volunteers with Girlguiding Jersey, Brownies, Jersey Zoo and in a Cancer Research charity shop.
Speaking on her motivation, Emma said: “I volunteer my time because time is the thing that charities need the most. Donating money is a great help to a charity but the time is so much more valuable – giving it to something or someone else with no gain is meaningful and gratifying.”
Emma’s list of volunteering endeavours is admirable and we are celebrating her as well as all the other wonderful volunteers this week.
