Amir Taghados to take on 56-mile charity challenge

8 February 2022

Throughout February, Amir Taghados from our London office will be running a total of 56 miles to raise money for Cancer Research.

We spoke with Amir to find out more about the challenge he’ll be taking on for a fantastic cause.

What are the details of your charity challenge?

I’ll be running a distance of 56 miles for the whole month of February. To reach the target, my daily distance goal is an average of two miles.

What made you want to do the challenge?

One in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime and there are more than 166,000 cancer deaths in UK every year – that’s more than 450 every day, so it’s an area that needs urgent help from everyone.

Have you done anything similar to this before?

I’ve completed other challenges for different charities, such as mountain climbing, ToughMudder (13 miles run and 32 obstacles in mud) and other smaller challenges. This will be first challenge where I’m just running though.

What impact do you hope this challenge will have?

I hope this challenge will help raise awareness and provide funds for cancer research. It will support people and families of those who have cancer by showing them they’re not alone.

Hopefully, one day, we’re able to beat cancer so we don’t see our loved ones suffer.

How can people support you and this charity?

Any donations to my sponsorship page or the charity itself are welcome. I’d encourage others to get involved with similar challenges for greater good too!
