Saltgate team complete 50km charity hike for PATRIZIA Foundation

Team members from Saltgate have completed a 47-kilometre walk to raise money for the development of the PATRIZIA School Buyamba, Uganda.

The PATRIZIA Lake Challenge, hosted by the PATRIZIA Foundation, the charity branch of our client PATRIZIA AG, was a hike from High Pike to Hart Crag in the Lake District.

Saltgate was the main sponsor of the event, represented by CEO Simon Riley and Head of IT Tim McBain, who both flew from Jersey for the challenge.

The money raised from the challenge will go towards the PATRIZIA Foundation’s work to expand the PATRIZIA School Buyamba, Uganda. This includes the installation of a rainwater collection system, refurbishment in classrooms and dormitories, and construction of two outdoor classrooms.

This project ensures over 800 pupils will have the facilities for and access to the education they need to thrive.

The aims and ambitions behind this project align with Saltgate’s charitable focus – promoting education, learning and development. The PATRIZIA School Buyamba, Uganda project will be invaluable to building better futures and life-changing for the students.
