Jersey U18s rugby squad renamed to 'Saltgate Colts'

The Jersey Reds Minis and Juniors haven’t let the weather get them down.

Players have been getting stuck in despite the wet, rainy, and extremely muddy conditions during their recent matches.

The U18s rugby team play in the Sussex Colts League, having plenty of success and victory over the years. Saltgate has been proud sponsor of the Colts since 2015.

To celebrate this nine-year partnership, the team have been officially renamed as the ‘Saltgate Colts’.

We admire the team’s focus on nurturing Jersey’s young sporting talent, providing the tools, support, and opportunities to succeed in a sport they love.

At the heart of our commitment to the Saltgate Colts is our desire to support the communities in which we operate, and provide learning and development opportunities to young people.

Through our partnership, we’ve welcomed players to Saltgate on a professional basis, with many joining our Summer Programme.

In their most recent match, Saltgate Colts faced East Grinstead, sadly missing out on victory.

We’re delighted to strengthen our partnership further through this renaming, and look forward to seeing how the rest of the season pans out.
